Renovation of a municipal facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of work consists of replacing the Existing Evidence Vault at MDPD Property and Evidence Building located at 9111 NW 25th Street, Doral Fl 33172. The bidder shall examine the site carefully to determine the scope of work and satisfy him/herself as to all observable conditions. Any questions regarding materials or obstacles that might be expected must be clarified during the bidding period. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, permits, and all other items necessary for the removal of all existing modification of existing building for inclusion of new pre-manufactured vault system. Close specification for the following vault model #CVC-Theu Vault System. Specification are as follows meets all sections of the U.S. military requirements to secure storage of weapons and DEA approved secure storage for schedule I and II substance. Must meet GSA rated panels that are specifically noted in AR 190-11. Also, the system requires all areas of the DEA''s code of federal regulation 21cfr 1301.72 for controlled substance storage nationwide to be meet. All work, modifications, and inclusion of new vault with related systems connections occur within the areas depicted on the plans prepared by Behar Font & Partners. Due to the security and standards required for the vault, only the specified vault system may be employed for this project. Prefabricated vault includes openings through walls and ceiling for the specific connection of electrical, mechanical ductwork, plumbing, fire protection, security, and access systems. Demolition (new opening), miscellaneous metal work, installation of new roof mounted exhaust fan, roof patching and electrical connection of mechanical equipment work will be required at the existing roof. Remove existing ACP ceiling and suspension system within proposed vault area. Remove and replace existing ACP ceiling and suspension system around vault area. All work shall be done in accordance with the Florida Building Code (FBC) Experience Requirement: The bidder must meet the following experience and/or qualifications: minimum of ten (10) years of experience in similar or larger projects and have completed a minimum of three (3) Custom Vault Systems 10ft by 10ft or greater As a condition for award bidders must provide proof of their qualifications with the following: 1) a detailed description of scope of work performed; 2) project address; 3) name and title of key personnel involved in the project; and 4) client contact information such as name, address, phone number, and email address, 5) project cost, and project start and completion dates. All RPQs with an estimated project value $100,000 or above are subject to Responsible Wage Rates. The wage rate will be stipulated on the RPQ and the Invitation to Bid or in the Project's Solicitation Documents. All Projects, where price (Proposals/Bids) received are in excess of $200,000 will require the submission of the Payment and Performance Bond as required by State of Florida Statute.
