Assembly Bill 6394-B amending Article 8, Section 220, of the NYS Labor Law includes the following language: Every Contractor and sub-contractor shall submit to the department of jurisdiction within thirty days after issuance of its first payroll, and every thirty days thereafter, a transcript of the original payroll record, as provided by this article, subscribed and affirmed as true under penalties of perjury. The department of jurisdiction shall be required to receive and maintain such payroll records. The original payrolls or transcripts shall be preserved for three years from the completion of the work on the awarded project. This law was signed on September 10, 1997 and took effect on November 9, 1997. This project is subject to the Wicks Law. Refer to the NYS Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule for requirements. Each bidder shall agree to hold its bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening. It is the Board of Fire Commissioners intention to award the contract to the lowest qualified bidder who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Board of Fire Commissioner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Fire Commissioners, is in the best interests of the District. Bids shall include all costs associated with the project. By submitting a bid, the bidder represents that it is familiar with the site and project conditions. Additionally, prior to submitting its bid, the Contractor shall make Architect and Owner aware of any problems and/or inconsistencies in the bid documents.
