As of March 15, 2023, project was awarded to A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc., awarded amount is $3,869,448.95. The Village of Winnetka is now accepting bids for the 2023 Street Rehabilitation Project. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Bid Security: Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of at least 5% of the total bid amount. Bid deposits may be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, money order or bank draft. Performance Bond: The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond of 110% of the total contract amount. Insurance: Upon award of the contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the specifications. Prevailing Wage Rates: The successful bidder shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates as determined in accordance with the Illinois Wage Law to all laborers, craftsmen, journeymen and other workers employed in the work necessitated by the fulfillment of this contract. Prequalification Requirements: No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is able to perform a minimum of 65% of the contract under their own forces. The qualifications of all other bidders shall be determined by the Village, in the exercise of its discretion. Any such other Bidder shall submit a Statement of Qualifications along with its sealed bid. The Statement of Qualifications shall contain the bidder's IDOT pre-qualification and a list of all similar public projects completed by the bidder within the last 5 years, including the name of the public body for which the work was performed, a description of the work, the contract amount, and the name and phone number of a contact person for each project. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive or not to waive informalities therein, and accepting the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Village of Winnetka.
