The Project includes the following Work: Submersible Duplex Pump Station, Static Bar Screen, Aeration Equipment Improvements; and related appurtenances. Bids are requested for the following Contract: North Lagoon Improvements, Project No. 18OU101.5 The bracket estimate for this project is from $575,000 to $625,000. The Project has an expected duration of 120 Calendar Days. The cost to purchase these Plans and Contract Books represents the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution therefore no refund will be issued. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. All bids SHALL be submitted in the Contract Specifications Book as issued by the Engineer. All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder's license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
