The City of Shoreline, Washington is soliciting proposals (RFP) from individuals or firms interested in assisting the City in the 2024 major periodic update of its Comprehensive Plan as required by the Growth Management Act, chapter 36.70A RCW (GMA). The City is in the process of conducting the periodic update to its Comprehensive Plan (the "Comprehensive Plan") and this update is required to be adopted no later than December 31, 2024. The successful candidate(s) should have multidisciplinary experience in comprehensive planning in Washington state, including land use planning, community visioning, goal, policy and action strategy development, economic market analysis, capital facilities planning, and environmental analysis Questions related to this solicitation may be directed to Andrew Bauer, Planning Manager, at abauer@shorelinewa.gov. Questions via phone will not be accepted. Questions received after March 3, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Local Time will not be accepted. Preliminary Timeline for RFP The tentative schedule for the selection process and contract award is as follows: o Proposals due - March 10, 2023 o Top firms are interviewed, if necessary - week of March 13, 2023 o Final selection(s) - week of March 20, 2023 Estimated Budget Up to $300,000 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
