Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The certified Iowa TSB participation goal for this project is 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid. Project consists of selective demolition and renovation work done in three (3) phases over the summers of 2023 (Phase 1), 2024 (Phase 2), 2025 (Phase 3) in Burge Residence Hall. The scope includes, but is not limited to: a. New flooring, painted walls, wall treatments, new ceiling panels, and painted doors/frames in student floor corridors. b. New flooring and painted walls, stringers and railings in stair towers. c. New flooring, painted walls/ceilings, paint existing convector covers, new closet shelving/panels, wall base, vanities, and draperies, in student rooms. d. New flooring, painted walls, solid surface wall treatments, new doors/frames, new ceiling, vanities and fixtures in single-user student bathrooms. e. New flooring and stair treads in main lobby. f. Remove built-in casework and faux columns in main lobby. g. Relocate cash-to-card machine in main lobby. h. New glazing film on stair tower exterior wall glazing surfaces. i. New kitchen and bathroom work in staff apartment. j. Demolition of existing finishes in all areas listed above. For Burge Residence Hall - Renovate House 2 and 4 Student Living Space
