Scope of Services Replace existing chiller(s) with a new energy efficient chiller(s) at Riverview Gardens School District (RGSD) High School The following manufacturers will be accepted: McQuay, Trane, York, or equivalent Contractor Responsibilities: If required tonnage is deemed to be higher, modify the system as required Verify that the water flow and pipe sizing is adequate for the replacement chiller Replace pumps and piping as needed to accommodate proper system flow, if necessary Verify the voltage and amperage of the replacement chiller matches existing service or modify as needed Extend concrete mounting pad and enclosure as necessary to meet manufacturer's specification for mounting and clearances Connect all new equipment to the existing building automation system using the attached points listing and verify proper operation Flush out closed loop to remove debris Provide freeze protection via heat tracing and/or glycol Provide parts and labor and compressor warranties Reinsulate piping, pumps and valves as necessary to ensure all insulation is intact and in good repair Re-secure and reinforce the existing enclosure, if necessary Provide two (2) paper copies and one (1) electronic copy of all O & M, service manuals and warranty letters Add Alternate Add new glycol concentration Make sure valves are operational Add redundant/backup pump for main pump in building #2 A performance bond will be required from the successful contractor on this project, and consequently, all bidders shall submit, with their bid, a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the school district, in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid Package on October 21, 2021 2:00 p.m., as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a 100% Performance and Payment Bond; execute the Contract; and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder shall excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit or Bid Bond.
