Renovation of a transportation facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
SORTA received an unsolicited proposal and is seeking competition for technical proposals from qualified A&E Firms for design services for facility improvements at its Government Square Transit Center (GSTC). The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA") is a regional transit authority organized and operating under Section 306.30 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. As such, it is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation services and paratransit services. SORTA provides service to the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio, and parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties. SORTA operates 46 fixed routes. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation and paratransit services through approximately 300 city-type transit buses and 50 paratransit vehicles.
