Renovation of an educational facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bidders must use the bid envelope cover sheet provided in the project manual and include their Full Name, Address, and Tennessee Contractor's License Number and deposit the bid in the Knox County Procurement Bid Box. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING ACT OF 1976," and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price prior to the execution of the contract. Knox County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the County. Central Street, Suite 100, Knoxville, TN 37917, ben.sharbel@knoxcounty.org (Tel 865-215-5765) no later than January 27, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. local time. All technical questions will be addressed by written addendum issued by Knox County Procurement. Scope of work shall include removal and resetting of existing roof top equipment as needed to facilitate installation of roofing system underneath. disconnecting, reconnecting, and reworking of utility connections as needed shall be included as part of the work and performed by a licensed subcontractor.
