This contract shall replace drainage structures along Beaver Brook Road crossing at Black Creek. Existing Black Creek drainage structures were damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Proposed conditions will improve flood mitigation; drastically lowering the flood level. This project is located in Hardin County, Texas. All work will be performed in strict accordance with local ordinances, codes, and current regulations. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety company shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to Hardin County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Hardin County, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding and to award the project based on the best bid which best represents the interests of Hardin County, Texas. Bids are to be a unit price basis for all labor and materials to complete the project. Bids may be held by Hardin County, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
