The Town of Huntersville is accepting Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for consulting services to perform architectural, engineering and construction administration services for the renovations at the Huntersville Arts and Cultural Center. The consulting services will include scoping of the project, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, permitting with local and state agencies, bidding assistance, construction administration, project closeout, and post-occupancy problem solving. Huntersville Arts and Cultural Center is a 1,956 sq ft triangled shaped building that is used for various recreation programs throughout the year. This facility was originally built in 1956 as the Northern Mecklenburg County Library up until 1996. This public facility sits in the heart of Downtown Huntersville at 109 S. Old Statesville Road. The Town is considering improvements to this facility including but not limited to ADA upgrades, storage and utility improvements as well as consider changes to the current floor plan of the existing facility. All inquiries/questions regarding this RFQ must be directed to Michael Jaycocks by e-mail (see 4.2) and must reach his office by Friday, 12:00 noon, January 27, 2023 [at least fourteen days before the Qualifications submittal due date] in order to be considered for a response. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
