Renovation of a museum in Somerville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The project for the "16750 HIGHWAY 64 BUILDING RENOVATION PROJECT" shall stabilize and support the entire building structure including exterior masonry walls, floors and roof. The work will demolish interior walls, ceilings, and finishes to create a gallery space within the east bay of the structure. The interior renovation of the east gallery space will include all new interior finishes, painting, flooring, electricity, HVAC, lighting, two (2) ADA bathrooms, prep and a storage area. The base bid scope of work includes demolition of interior walls, finishes, floor framing and pour new concrete slab, along with plumbing rough-in to create a shell future tenant space within the west bay of the structure. The project also includes an Alternate Bid #1 for the removal and replacement of all ground floor doors and windows on the entire building's north facade per the construction documents per the construction documents. Alternate #2 bid work for the project consists of constructing, installing and finishing new hall and restroom spaces in the west bay of the building. Technical specifications, Section C is included within this document. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond.
