The City of Moncton wishes to retain the services of a Structural Engineering firm, a Mechanical Engineering firm, an Electrical Engineering firm, a Civil Engineering firm, and a Transportation Engineering firm to assist City staff in the development of drawings and specifications, or to provide consultative services, on an "as required" basis, relating to various small-dollar value planning, construction, and design projects with an ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION VALUE BELOW $500,000 that are initiated by various City Departments, such as Parks, Facilities, and Engineering and Environmental Services. Proposals will be considered from established and experienced firms in the business of providing comprehensive engineering design, construction management, construction administration, and engineering technical support services for a MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS, are financially stable, can provide a MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) CLIENTS for whom they have provided similar services to that specified in the RFP within the last five (5) year period, and have sufficient labour, equipment and resources available to provide such services to the City in the manner and capacity required. All Professional Engineers assigned to the City of Moncton's projects under the scope of this agreement MUST retain a current and valid license to practice within the Province of New Brunswick under the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act (1999), and be a member in good standing of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB). Proponents employing Technologists having C. Tech or P. Tech designations would be considered an asset. The initial term of each Professional Engineering Services Agreement shall be for a thirty-six (36) month period, commencing from the date of award. The City may exercise an option to renew each agreement for up to two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods, if it is in the City's best interest to do so. Proponents may submit proposals for ONE (1) OR MORE OR ALL Professional Engineering disciplines required by the City of Moncton. Proponents are NOT required to supply all Professional Engineering disciplines identified herein in order to respond to this bidding opportunity, and are NOT required to bid on all five (5) services requested in order for their Proposal submission to be considered. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
