The Town of Flora, Mississippi hereby solicits proposals for household garbage, trash and small yard debris collection and disposal within the Town of Flora, Mississippi. The contract period shall commence on March 1, 2023, and end at midnight on February 29, 2024. With option to renew for five successive one-year terms: The proposals should address the following: (A)Contractor's acceptance of and ability to perform, each and every term and condition of the proposed contract. Said proposed contract to contain the terms and conditions relating to price, financial responsibility, technology, legal responsibilities and other relevant factors as determined by the Governing Authority to be appropriate for inclusion, with specifications and relevant factors required to be included in the contract on file and open to public inspection and review at the office of April Dunlap, City Clerk of The Town of Flora, Flora Town Hall, 168 Carter Street, Flora, Madison, MS 39071 (B)Price should be quoted as: (1)Contractor should use the proposal form. (2)For the purpose of bidding on this contract, unit count is approximately 466 residential and 100 small business. (C)Proposed forms referred to herein, may be obtained from April Dunlap, City Clerk, 601-879-8686, Town of Flora, Madison, MS 39071 (D)To be considered, Late or improper or incomplete proposals may be rejected. (E)Pursuant to Section 31-7-13(t) of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, after responses to the request for proposals have been duly received, the Governing Authority of the Town of Flora, Mississippi shall select the most qualified proposal or proposals on the basis of price, technology and other relevant factors and from such proposals but not limited to the terms thereof, negotiate and enter contracts with one or more of the persons or firms submitting proposals. If the Governing Authority deems none of the proposals to be qualified based on terms and conditions relating to price, financial responsibilities, technology, legal responsibilities and other relevant factors, the request for proposals process may be reinitiated or abandoned. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The proposal must be received in a sealed envelope that is marked in the lower left-hand corner with "Solid Waste Collection Proposal" and the date of the Proposal Opening.
