Renovation of a stadium in Orillia, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
This Request for Supplier Qualifications ("RFSQ") is an invitation by the City of Orillia (the "City") to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide General Contracting for an Arena Refrigeration System Refurbishment as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables"). The term 'Supplier' refers to a contractor able to provide the equipment and services as detailed in Appendix A. Rotary Place is located at 100 University Avenue, Orillia, Ontario. The arena opened in 2010 consisting of two ice surfaces, spectator areas, dressing rooms, storage as well as tournament and community rooms. The existing water-based cooling tower refrigeration system servicing the ice surfaces is to be decommissioned, removed and replaced with a chiller and dry cooler system. The City is pre-qualifying suppliers who, if successful, will be eligible to participate in a future second-stage competitive process. The successful respondent of the second-stage will act as a general contractor to remove, dispose, supply and install listed refrigeration equipment and systems serving the ice surfaces at Rotary Place.
