The purpose and intent of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to solicit pricing from qualified Bidder(s) to establish a contract to provide tree trimming and rights-of-way maintenance service to the City. The initial term of the contract shall be three (3) years, with the option to renew by the City annually (1) year periods under the same terms and conditions or the original contract. Any renewal shall be based on performance satisfactory to the City by the Contractor during the previous contract period(s). A bid bond IS NOT required A performance bond IS NOT required. The City of Kinston reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and may award all or any portion of the scope of work. Bids shall be clearly marked on the outside of the package with the bid identifier: IB # PS-EL-01-27-2023 After the RFB issue date, all communications between the City and prospective Bidders regarding this RFB shall be in writing. Any inquires, requests for interpretation, technical questions, clarification, or additional information shall be directed to Angella Williams, Purchasing and Warehouse Manager, by emailing angella.williams@ci.kinston.nc.us or faxing (252) 527-2347. All questions concerning this RFB shall reference the RFB number, section number and paragraph. Questions and responses affecting the scope of the services will be provided to all Bidders by issuance of an Addendum. All questions shall be received no later than 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2023.
