The County of Northampton is accepting quotes for the replacement of an approximately 78 LF seawall adjacent to a dock at the Morley's Wharf Public Boat Landing. The successful vendor will be responsible for the replacement of the approximately 78 LF existing deteriorated seawall running adjacent to the west side of the boat landing's fixed dock, including, but not limited to the following: Remove and dispose of existing wood wall down to level of creek bed at a minimum. Existing piles may remain and be reused. Design and install a new seawall to match the length of the existing one. Seawall shall consist of minimum 10' tall corrugated weatherable rigid vinyl marine grade sheet piles. Thickness shall be a minimum of 0.225 inches. Section depth shall be a minimum of 5 inches. Section width shall be a minimum 18 inches. Whalers shall be appropriately sized for adequate bracing of the sheet piles. A 2x12 cap board shall be installed along the top of the seawall. The bid price shall assume the existing piles will be reused. Existing piles shall be examined for integrity. If they are found to be deteriorated beyond the point of reuse, notify the owner immediately. Fasteners shall consist of galvanized bolts and stainless steel screws.
