Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 02/22/2023 5:00 PM (PST) Scope of Services The City of Carlsbad (City) is soliciting this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain proposals for architectural design services to address known deficiencies and desired upgrades to the acid enclosure at Alga Norte Aquatic Center, located at 6565 Alicante Road, Carlsbad, CA, 92009. The muriatic acid enclosure at the Alga Norte Aquatic Center is insufficient in protecting the acid tank and adjacent components and requires a new layout and re-build to address deficiencies. The existing enclosure is not roofed and is situated between two buildings. Rainwater collects in the acid tank's secondary containment, and weather is disrupting operations in the enclosure. The objective of this project is to construct two new rooms attached to the pool mechanical building in the place of the existing non-roofed enclosure space, with one room for a new 500-gallon muriatic acid tank and acid fume suppression system (scrubber), and a second room for four acid chemical pumps and four CO2 feeders.
