Any Bidder who wishes to propose an alternate or substitute must provide a formal substitution request prior to end of business, January 31st, 2023. Bids that equal or exceed $50,000.00 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond, payable without reserve, to “Alva Public Schools” in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. This security is given as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Construction Manager for the construction of this project. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date. If bid amount equals or exceeds $50,000.00, bidder shall provide performance, payment, and maintenance bonds for 100% of the subcontract amount and the cost of bonds shall be included in the bid submission. Bids received more than ninetysix (96) hours before the time set for receiving bids as well as bids received after the time set for receipt of bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened.
