The company must supply their own tools unless Eastern Greene has the specific tool(s) needed for the repair.The company or individual must provide Eastern Greene Schools with proof of liability insurance at the time of submitting their quote. The submitted quote should list the price that will be charged per hour for any repairs. Eastern Greene Schools would also consider alternative quotes that put together maintenance packages versus a per hour rate. If the company intends to charge a "trip charge", it must be specified in the quote. It must also be specified if the hourly rate starts from the time the technician enters their vehicle for the trip. The accepted bidder will receive rights to the maintenance contract for at least one year. Eastern Greene reserves the right to end the contract prior to the year anniversary, or anytime thereafter, due to poor work or lack of responsiveness to the needs of the corporation. The contracted company will receive at least a three month notice if Eastern Greene Schools intends to put the maintenance contract out for bids as the one year anniversary approaches, or any time after the one year anniversary. The plan is to award the contract at the March 20 board meeting. The bids will be discussed in public and if the board chooses, the contract will be awarded. It is highly recommended that interested bidders make an appointment to tour the buildings, inspect the physical plant, and discuss maintenance issues with our maintenance director.
