The Contractor, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, will be required to furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price. Said bonds shall be secured from a surety satisfactory to Owner and who is authorized to transact business in California. Said bonds shall continue in full force and effect for the guarantee period.Bidders must scan and upload with their bid documents a certified check or bank draft payable to the Long Beach Water Department, drawn on a solvent bank in the United States of America, or a satisfactory bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid.
