SOLID WASTE TRANSFER STATION The Limestone County Solid Waste Authority invites bidders to submit bids for the Solid Waste Transfer Station. The project consists of a new 10,000 square foot metal prefabricated building, a new 5,000 square foot metal prefabricated building, reinforced concrete stem walls, reinforced concrete tipping floor, heavy duty concrete paving, leachate management system, utilities, and site improvements. The project site is located at 16100 BFI Lane, Athens, AL 35611. No Bid Proposal will be accepted after the time stated for receiving bid proposals in this Notice. Bid Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes. Bidders must show prominently and legibly on the front of such envelope the name and address of the Bidder and the Bidder's Alabama Licensing Board For General Contractors license number and date of renewal. Bid Proposals submitted without meeting this requirement will be rejected as non-responsive. By submitting a Bid Proposal, each Bidder agrees to honor and hold firm his Bid Proposal prices for a period of 60 days from date of the Bid Proposal, or for a longer time if mutually agreeable by the Owner and the Bidder. Bidders must be licensed by and in good standing with the Alabama Licensing Board For General Contractors, and licensed for work classification MU (Municipal and Utility) or MU-(S) Municipal and Utility Specialty Construction. Each Bid Proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by security submitted on the prescribed Bid Bond form in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the amount bid, but not more than $10,000.00.
