Nebraska Public Power District has identified this project to upgrade the cooling water intake structures at the Cooper Nuclear Station to minimize environmental impacts in accordance with section 316(b) of the Clean Water Act. The purpose of this project is to reduce impingement of fish and other aquatic organisms at the intake structures. This project will include the installation of modified traveling fish screens with a fish return to comply with EPA regulations. Work under this capital improvement project includes installation of new pumps, piping, and sprayers. B. Work Covered by Contract Documents: 1.
