The NCNG has initiated planning for construction of a new Regional Readiness Center on 100 acres in Edgecombe County, NC (Rocky Mount). The new 45,000 SF to 50,000 SF Regional Readiness Center facility will provide operational space for approximately 200 Soldiers, equipment storage areas, administrative space, parking for privately owned vehicles, and military owned vehicles. This Regional Readiness Center is part of NCNG's initiative to consolidate units into larger, regionally based hub facilities consisting of multiple units. This project will follow both State Construction Office and DoD Military Construction (MILCON) planning requirements and processes. The following systems will serve the building and require commissioning in compliance with LEED v4.1 EA Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning (LEED Silver requirement). Mechanical (HVAC Equipment and Controls) Plumbing, (Domestic Hot Water, Pumps and Controls) Electrical (Service, Distribution, Lighting, Controls) Renewable energy systems (If Applicable) Building Envelope (Glazing, Roofing, Waterproofing) Source of Funds Federal Funds (MILCON), State Capital Improvement, and DEQ Grant (ref SL 2021-180, as amended by SL 2021-189) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
