Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fisher, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work included in this contract consists primarily of 2"HMA milling and HMA resurfacing on Third Street from north of IL Route 136 to north of Front Street. Other work includes: upgrade existing sidewalk ramps to meet current policy, improved side street returns, new pavement striping, and other items of construction. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form furnished and must be accompanied by an acceptable form of Proposal Guaranty in an amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Proposal, payable to the Village of Fisher. The Proposal Guaranty shall be a certified check, bank draft, or an executed Bid Bond acceptable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Proposal isaccepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and will file an acceptable Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance within fifteen (15) days after the award of the Contract. A Proposal Guaranty consisting of a personal check will not be accepted. The Proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. LEGAL PROVISIONS: The Contractor shall also comply with the Illinois Prevaili ng Wage Act, the Veteran's Preference Act, the Employment ofIllinois Workers on Public Works Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act. WAGE RATES: CON- TRACTOR shall be required to comply with the most recently publicized "Wage of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage) Act" (820 ILCS 130/1 et. Seq. (1993)). Copies of these wage rates are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Not less than the prevailing wage rates on Public Work as established by the Illinois Department of Labor, for the county in which the work takes place, shall be paid. BID REJECTION/ACCEPT- ANCE: The Village of Fisher, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. The criteria for selection of lowest responsive, responsible bidder are set forth in the Contract Documents. ABidder may withdraw from the possession of the Village, his or her submitted bid only prior tothe previously-stated closing time for receipt of the bids. All bids shall remain valid for aperiod of thirty (30) days after the closing time for receipt of bids.
