Each bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security (bid bond, cash, money order, certified or cashiers check) in an amount equal to at least five (5%) percent of the total bid as per Instruction to Bidders. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150-2163, known as the Licensing Law for Contractors will be considered. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for at least forty-five (45) calendar days. Electronic bids may be submitted online electronically. In accordance with LA RS 38:2212.E(6), bids for this project may be submitted electronically via upload to portal. All bid documents shall be uploaded by the due date and time stated above. A bid bond will be required per the contract documents and should be uploaded with the rest of the required bid documents. If a scanned copy of the bid bond is uploaded, the original, notarized bid bond must be produced on-demand per the Owners request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
