Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Gardners, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
AS of August 8, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. In general, the Contract involves excavation/removal of the existing bridge/culvert, purchase and install new bridge/culvert per provide specifications and drawings, paving, guide rail installation and pavements markings. The SM-1 Bridge repair project consists of under deck repairs and removal and replacement of existing guiderail to meet current standards (2020 Bridge Inspection Report is available electronically). Bids will be based on a lump sum bid. The Contract will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Township shall provide a written Notice to Proceed to the Contractor Clarification Deadline: Question Deadline 02/23/2023 at 4:00 PM ET Sealed proposals will be received electronically by South Middleton Township *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
