Parking Lots Resurfacing LOCATION OF PROJECT The work for this project will take place in the Prairie Ave. Parking Lot and the alleys behind Main Street from Prairie to Fairview and Fairview to Prospect as well as the Metra Parking area located adjacent to Summit Ave. from Ridge Terrace to South of S. Washington Avenue in Park Ridge, IL. See attached map for locations. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The Prairie Lot and alley work consists of Removing and replacing one concrete alley apron as well as cold milling approximately 3,500 square yards of existing bituminous surface to a depth of 2-1/2 inches; full depth patching of approximately 350 square yards of existing bituminous pavement; and then resurfacing the parking lot and alleys with 1-1/4 inches of hot mix asphalt leveling binder and 1-1/2 inches of hot mix asphalt surface; restriping of the parking lot consisting of 1,300 lineal feet of 4" white thermoplastic pavement marking, handicapped symbols and all associated work. The Metra spaces require the removal and replacement of 650 lineal ft. of curb and gutter as well as removal of all asphalt and aggregate to a depth of 12" and replacing it with 8" of Aggregate Base Course, 2-1/2" Binder Course, and 1-1/2" Surface Course. Restriping of the Metra spaces consisting of 1,500 lineal feet of 4" white thermoplastic pavement marking, and all associated work.
