Renovation of a municipal facility in Aurora, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 137,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility.

Proposals shall be based on the requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents prepared by the Construction Manager and the Architect/Engineer. Only complete bid packages will be accepted. You must read work scopes located in Section 00 22 00-XX of the Project Manual. The Bid Packages are: BP2-03A - Concrete BP2-04 - Masonry BP2-06A - Rough Carpentry BP2-07 - Roofing and Sheet Metal BP2-08A - Overhead Doors BP2-08B - Aluminum Framing and Glazing BP2-09E - Painting BP2-11A - Lubrication and Vehicle Lift Systems BP2-11B - Touchless Wash System BP2-14A - Elevator BP2-14B - Cranes BP2-15A - Fire Protection BP2-15B - Plumbing BP2-15C - HVAC BP2-16 - Electrical and Low-Voltage R.C. Wegman Construction Company requests bid proposals on behalf of the City of Aurora for the construction of a 200,000+ SF Public Works Facility, located at 2000 Liberty Street, Aurora, IL 60502. All Bidders will be required to furnish bid security in the form of a bid bond, bank cashier's check or cash in the amount of (10%) of the base bid amount, and it shall be submitted with the Bid Proposal documents. Bid Bonds shall be made payable to City of Aurora. Performance and Payment Bond will be furnished by RCW, and will NOT be required by the Subcontractors. The City of Aurora reserves (i) the right to reject any or all bids, (ii) the right to waive irregularities or informalities in bidding procedure, and (iii) the right to award any portion or award on basis of total bid. Bidders requesting clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall provide a written request to the Construction Manager no later than Noon, January 31st, 2023. All Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law regarding the payment of prevailing wages by all labors, workmen and mechanics working on public funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the Bidding Contractor shall be responsible for any associated additional costs without any change to the proposed contract amount.
