This solicitation requests Sport Court Resurfacing. A portion of the work will require total rehab (paving and rebuilding) and the other portion is for the repair of filling cracks and repainting and striping of multiple court throughout Metro Parks courts. Paints for sports courts should be Laykold Acrylic Coating Systems, Court master, or approved equal. The link provided below will cover specification for Sports courts referenced in this project. Only the sections that pertain to "Asphalt" are applicable to this projet. No concrete courts will be resurfaced of constructed as a part of this contract. https://www.novasports.com/asba-guidelines-for-tennis-court-construction/ Contractor's Responsibility/Minimum Requirements Contractor and all sub-contractors must have a minimum of ten years' experience in re-surfacing tennis courts for Parks and Recreation, USTA, and/or NCAA organizations Properly licensed with the State of Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors Contractor to comply with Drug Free Workplace Act Because some Metro Parks tennis courts are on Metro Nashville Public School property, the contractor must submit affidavit pursuant to T.C.A. 49-5-413, where the company's employees will have direct contact with school children or access to the grounds of a school when children are present. It is the duty of the contractor to require applicants supply a fingerprint sample and submit to a criminal history records check to be conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation prior to permitting the person to have contact with such children or enter school grounds and to take certain other actions based upon the results of the records. Contractor shall conform to the time restrictions set forth by Metro Parks and Recreation for each project.
