Site work for a water / sewer project in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed construction consists of 7 sanitary sewer excavation point repairs, 1 manhole-to-manhole sewer replacement, approximately 17,515 feet of cured-inplace pipe (CIPP) ranging in size from 8-inch diameter to 15-inch diameter, replacement of a 12- inch diameter force main gate valve in a valve vault, replacement of 2 manhole covers, cementitious interior coating of 115 manholes, repair of 10 manhole benches, and other miscellaneous items of work. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Hoffman Estates is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashiers check or bank draft payable to the Village of Hoffman Estates for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The Village of Hoffman Estates reserves the right to waive any/all informality, or to reject any Bids and/or parts thereof; and to accept that bid which it deems most favorable to Hoffman Estates after all bids have been examined and canvassed.
