Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Mankato, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

As of July 17, 2024, construction commenced approximately one month ago. All trades have been awarded. Scope of Work o Secure pedestrian walk area in active construction area. Pedestrian and traffic control shall conform to 2018 Edition of the MN MUTCD Temporary Traffic Control Manual and be in place as needed during the course of the project. o Protect inplace flooring of Reception Hall during the course of the project. o Remove the stained glass and transport offsite to restoration location. o Secure all voids left by removed stained glass and storm windows to keep weather and unintended guests out of the building. o Make two rubbings of each stained glass panel. o Place each stained glass panel in a soaking bath for 24 hours to loosen the old lead and grout. o Remove the stained glass panels from the soaking bath and remove all the old lead and grout from each piece of glass. o Re-lead each piece of glass using H-Came High Alloy lead. This lead last approximately 125 years. o Solder all lead joints on both sides of stained glass panels. o Grout the stained glass panels by brushing grout between the lead and the glass. This process gives the stained glass panel strength and protects it from the elements. o Re-install braces and wire backs on stained glass panels. o Transport the stained glass panels from the restoration location to the Reception Hall building and reinstall. o Remove all storm glass on the sixteen upper storm glass windows and the fifteen lower level windows. o Clean the exterior surfaces of the openings as needed. o Furnish and install new storm windows over 16 Stained Glass window locations and 15 lower Storm window locations on Reception Hall Each storm window will be vented as needed. Examples of new storm windows are depicted in Attachment C & D of this document. o Protective storm glass will be set in L4 black colored Allied aluminum frames. o Installation shall be from stone to stone covering all wood. o Steel black powder coated railings to be installed at five window locations in the conference room. o Minor drywall repair and paint to match existing in the interior of the Reception Hall. o Final clean up of project site and removal of barriers. o Contractor is responsible for any associated damage/clean up to Reception Hall, grounds, or landscaping that occurs from completing the project. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
