Site work and renovation of a civil project in Charleston, South Carolina. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of October 3, 2024, per owner, a design team has been identified. This project is still in the very early stages of permitting and design, 35%. There is no timeline for bidding this project for construction but should be sometime mid-2025, as it is heavily dependent on securing permits and plan approvals. Construction to follow after bidding. The City of Charleston is seeking an engineering firm to provide engineering services for stormwater pump station refurbishment and upgrades. The project is located on the Charleston Peninsula at the intersection of Ralph H Johnson Dr and Bravo St. An existing pump station provides drainage service to approximately 13 acres of urban area in the Medical District. The project is to refurbish/replace the pump station main pumps, update electrical components, provide necessary structural rehabilitation, update monitoring equipment, update controls and SCADA to be compatible with improvements, potential outfall/forcemain rehabilitation/replacement, and maintain partial pump station operation during improvements. Work is expected to include familiarization with the pump station equipment and understanding the pump station operation and the intent of the operations. The Consultant should have the ability to meet Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) criteria established by the City.
