As of November 29, 2023, a design team has been selected. Per owner, there was a delay in the grant paperwork, so bids are being pushed out until first quarter of 2024. The City of Arcola, Illinois is requesting that interested professional engineering firms submit a "Statement of Qualifications" in accordance with written Request for Qualifications (RFQ) guidelines as approved by the City and approved by the State of Illinois for professional engineering services in connection with a $1,040,000.00 Rebuild Downtowns and Main Streets Capital Grant to finance Main Street related improvements in the City. The RFQ Guidelines can be obtained from the Coles County Regional Planning and Development Commission (the "Commission"), which is assisting the City with the RFQ process, by contacting Commission Executive Director and City Community Development Consultant Mr. Kelly Lockhart at (217) 348-0521 or at E-Mail Address (klockhart @co.coles.il.us). Please state "RIPI Sanitary Sewer Qualifications Statemen t-Engineering Services" on the cover. Questions regarding the Statement of Qualifications as well as the proposed drainage improvement project may be directed to the City's Development Consultant, Kelly Lockhart at (217) 348-0521 (E-Mail Address: klockhart @co.coles.il.us) The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
