As of October 14, 2024, a consultant has been selected. Construction is still several years away. Previous solicitation listed below for reference: The purpose of this Professional Services Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to select a consultant team with expertise in FEMA processes, site investigations and analyses, surveying, engineering, and permitting services for the repair of park infrastructure due to severe storm damages incurred at West Beach at Deception Pass State Park in Island County, Washington. This work is funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The severe storms that occurred between late December 2020 and mid-January 2021 produced high winds and coincided with a king tide that caused various damages at Deception Pass State Park in Island County, Washington. These damages are included in Disaster 4593-DR-WA and administered by FEMA and Washington Department of Military, Washington State Emergency Management Division (EMD). This procurement is open to those Bidders that satisfy the minimum qualifications stated herein and that are available for work in Washington State. The project is funded by FEMA grants and the applicant must comply with all state and federal laws. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
