Reference number : 1683202 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-02-06 Submission sent electronically accepted: Yes, in a single submission document Expected duration of the contract without the options (in months): 36 Description of the project and mandate The Université de Montréal is issuing a call for tenders for services based on the quality award method in order to retain architectural services for the fire safety upgrade work to be carried out at the Marie Pavilion Victorin (no 555) and the adjoining boiler room (no 570) located at its Campus de la Montagne . Mandate's duration The planned service delivery period is from March 2023 to May 2026 . Mandate (description of services) The purpose of these projects is to upgrade the fire safety system of the Marie-Victorin pavilion (project 55878, building 555) as well as that of the boiler room attached to it (project 55849, building 570). A first study was conducted in 2015 as part of project 52587 (Fire safety system installation 555). Reports issued as part of this project are available in the appendix folder. Project 52587 had not materialized. The present projects 55878/55849 must take into account that part of the fire safety system will be upgraded as part of project 78210 (Reassignment of spaces in Marie-Victorin). An extract from the architectural plans indicating the work areas planned in project 78210 is available in the appendix file. These areas are approximate and will be confirmed during the mandate. Please note that the heating system located in 570 also serves the neighboring building of the Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie (PSNM). The 3 buildings (Pavillon Marie Victorin, PSNM, boiler room) are connected by underground tunnels. The upgrade of the fire safety system includes, among other things, the review of the following elements for the electromechanical disciplines that are the subject of this call for tenders: Mechanical - Fire protection: Automatic sprinkler system Fire pipe network fire pump Plumbing ducts and ventilation ducts to modify Electricity Detection system (smoke, heat, manual station, etc.) Fire alarm network (audible and visual) Emergency telephones (if required) Fire alarm system (panels, control cabinet) Conduits to modify For information, here are other non-exhaustive elements which will have to be reviewed/evaluated by the other disciplines and which are the subject of separate bid requests (not included in this call for tenders): Architecture Openings Spin off Ceilings Fire separation of buildings if required Industrial hygiene Asbestos Spread of dust Hazardous materials / Other contaminants The successful bidder will be responsible for: Act as the main professional for the coordination of the different disciplines Become familiar with existing data Carry out a survey campaign Take steps to obtain the required permits if necessary Carry out the design (plans and specifications), follow-up of the contractor's call for tenders, follow-up of the construction and closing of the project See document DSUMP-8 DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT AND SERVICES if available for a complete description of the tasks and responsibilities relating to the mandate. Estimated Project Value The successful bidder will be awarded a Mandate for a project related to work whose value may reach $9,000,000 or more depending on the nature of the following elements which will be definitively retained . The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
