It is the responsibility of the contractor to check for any issued addenda prior to submitting the bid. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond, in the amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount bid, drawn payable to Village of Kingsley as security for the proper execution of the Agreement. The Village of Kingsley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids should it consider same to be in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for the period of 60 days after date of receiving bids. Each of the 239 services will require abandonment of their existing service, and all plumbing to connect the new service line to the existing home system whether interior or exterior to the home. The contractor will install all items needed for the connection. -There are 58 services that will require a new connection at the main to the stop box, 56 of which are to be connected to the home. Leads installed under existing roadways are to be installed via directional drilling or some other approved method. No open cutting through the roadway will be allowed. 181 services are to be connect from the stop box to the home. This work includes connection into the home. Itis expected the Notice to Proceed will be issued and the contractor to start work on or before March 15, 2023, pending fully executed contracts. The Workwill be substantially completed by November 1, 2023, and completed and ready for final payment by December 1, 2023.
