The City of Fontana is soliciting bids for Backstop Removal and Installation Project. The contractor is responsible for the removal and properly disposing of the existing bandshell style backstop, including all rubber conveyer belts, wooden planks and footings. Contractor must protect existing dugouts. Contractor must install new wing style backstop from L.A. Steelcraft model # BS-35 galvanized LA-1644T with treated wooden planks. Contractor to installed new back stopped per manufacture recommendations. Contractor is to modified existing concrete to accommodate the new wind style backstop. Contractor will also be responsible to install a 12-inch high by 18-inch wide concrete mow curb at the bottom of the new backstop. Liquidated Damages $1,000 per day for each and every calendar day of delay beyond the Contract Time or beyond any completion schedule. Contractor must provide the specifications, engineering and structural calculations from the L.A SteelCraft and submit to the City's Building and Safety department for review and approval. Contractor must pull a permit from the City's Building and Safety Department. The City will provide a no fee plan check and inspection memo to the Building and Safety Department so that contractor doesn't have to pay for plan check and inspection fees. This project is intended to be a "turnkey" project and all materials, labor and service list are not exhaustive and additional materials and services may be requested from the contractor at any time during the contract period for new materials, installation, maintenance, repair and service. Material pricing must be all inclusive and include all items, such as, tax and shipping. All pricing will include labor, material, equipment, tools and incidentals per Green Book standards.
