The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to deliver hydraulic cement concrete (ready-mix concrete) on an as-needed basis to the job site (ref: section IV.A.3) in Halifax County during the contract period. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Robert Dowdle at robert.dowdle@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. In order to be considered responsive to this bid, the vendor shall be a VDOT-Approved Concrete Supplier. If you are not currently approved, contact Don French, District Materials Engineer at (434) 856-8104 in the District Materials Division for the application procedure. If you become approved, you may be considered for future bidding programs. The Contractor shall deliver ready-mix concrete to the job site at Halifax County route 733 (East Hitesburg Road) The Contact Person is Doug Powell - 434-250-7116. Directions from South Boston: Take Route 58 east toward Clarksville. Turn Right on Route 732 (Aarons Creek Road), Turn Right on Route 733 (East Hitesburg Road).
