Renovation of an office development in Greenbelt, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.

The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. County: Prince George's Classification: D ($1,000,001 to $2,500,000) Funding: State Bid F.A.P. Number: N/A This project, located in Prince Georges County, will provide comprehensive removal/demolition, renovation, upgrade, and warranty of the building roofing and drainage for the District 3 Office Building. Associated mechanical. Electrical, plumbing, work shall be required to complement the renovation. The building will be fully occupied by the Administration while the construction work is occurring.. The work will consist of the following: 1. Roofing System Replacement: Remove existing roof system, insulation, flashings, skylights and other items indicated on drawings. Roof deck shall be inspected for damage, and repaired according to specifications. Roof deck shall be patched as required. Install new roof insulation, 4 ply built- up roof membrane, flashings, metal copings, curbs, skylights, etc. 2. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Demolition: Roof Top Air Handling Units: - Demolition of all existing rooftop air handling units, and all associated ductwork, piping, supports, controls, and electrical wiring and conduit on Roof Area. 3. Exhaust Fans: Demolition of all existing roof mounted exhaust fans and all associated duct including supports, controls, electrical wiring and conduit on Roof Area 'G'. 4. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing New Work: Temporary hydronic unit heaters to be provided for heating. 5. Roof Drainage System: Modification of roof drains and all piping extensions/reconnections. Entire system will be flushed and cleaned. A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. MDOT - Call Order : 103 Roof Replacement at District 3 Office Building Facilities Improvements *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
