The City of Sumner solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in providing professional services in the area of civil engineering and municipal public works projects. Services are anticipated to commence in the first quarter of 2023 and extend for approximately two (2) years with the option for the City of Sumner to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. The City of Sumner reserves the right to retain the services of responsive firm(s) for subsequent phases associated with this work.The City of Sumner reserves the right to amend terms of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Prospective consultants will be held to the ADA and Civil Rights language adopted by the City of Sumner. Project Description The City of Sumner is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide design and engineering to abandon an existing water main that currently runs through the cemetery. A new water main will be routed to maintain the city connection between the Citys west well and the rest of the water distribution system. The consulting firm will need to provide conceptual options for routing the new main and complete the final design once the City has provided direction. Additionally, the consulting firm will need to design a replacement of the Sumner Cemeterys existing irrigation system to update it to current standards and optimize irrigation with an automated sprinkler operation system. Prospective consultants will need to pay special attention to the location of this project with respect to it being within an active cemetery.
