The City requires two qualified Contractors to perform Utility Locating Services for buried water and sewer Underground Infrastructure within the City of Hamilton. Each Successful Bidder will also be responsible for Locating additional underground Infrastructure (including but not limited to underground hydro, fibre-optics, water and sewer mains, stormwater assets, services and appurtenances, and/or service cable or conduit) on City of Hamilton Water Distribution plant property and Wastewater Collection plant property, including wastewater outstations and water outstations. Each Successful Bidder will be assigned a primary geographical area within the City of Hamilton with flexibility to move beyond based on efficiency. Annual Locate volumes will be approximately 9,000 notifications per Successful Bidder based on 2022 data. Work will be evenly distributed between the two Successful Bidders. Each Successful Bidder shall provide all labour, equipment, materials, facilities, accommodations, communications, transportation, traffic control, and supervision to perform Locating of water and sewer Underground Infrastructure, Marking and reporting.
