Awarded to Sign Industries. The work generally consists of the installation of new and repair of old wayfinding signage and kiosks throughout the San Diego downtown area. Estimated cost is $675,000. This is a prevailing wage project pursuant to Section 1720 et seq. of the Labor Code. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed. Representatives of CivicSD will be present to answer any questions bidders have regarding this project. Prospective bidders MAY visit the Project Site without making arrangements through the designated CivicSD Project Manager. Bids WILL be accepted from any bidder who did not attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Bids must be submitted on CivicSD Bid Forms, included in the Contract Documents which will be available electronically, at no cost, through CivicSD's Planet Bids portal at www.civicsd.com under "Doing Business and Bid Opportunities." To download the Contract Documents, the user must register for a free account on the site. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to download and print all Contract Documents for review and to verify the completeness of Contract Documents before submitting a bid. Any Addenda will be posted on CivicSD's Planet Bid Portal. CivicSD shall award the Contract for the Work to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as determined from the BASE BID ALONE by CivicSD. CivicSD reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
