As of March 4, 2024, construction of this project was completed in Spring of 2023, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Borough of Bellefonte will receive bids for the Musser Lane Composting Facility asphalt pad project in accordance with the Statement of Work, found as Addendum No 1 in the Bid Form. Bidding is for a single general construction contract, including all trades required for complete performance of the work indication in the Statement of Work. Project consists of laying asphalt at the Borough's Composting site on a prepped subgrade and fine grade pad. Bid security must accompany each bid in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the Borough of Bellefonte. This project is financed in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's 902 Municipal Recycling Grant Program. This work shall be bid with prevailing wages paid to all on-site employees on this project. The Borough of Bellefonte, through its duly authorized and constituted officials, reserves its rights to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any portions thereof, and to waive any informalities, technicalities, irregularities, or defects in the bids or bidding.
