Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Okeechobee, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Okeechobee County is accepting proposals for the renovation and expansion of the infield of Softball Field #1 located at the OK Softball Fields 950 NW 23rd Lane, Okeechobee, FL 34972. The purpose of this project is to expand the existing baselines to accommodate the older youth baseball program that has become well-established within the County. Contractor shall be responsible for all measurements, elevation estimates, required labor, machinery, materials, utility locates, permits and appurtenances necessary for the completion of work as specified below and as referenced in Exhibit A: o A 95' radius should be measured and marked from the back of the pitcher's mound as shown in Exhibit A. This measurement will be confirmed by all required parties before removing existing turf or clay infield material. o Grading of and removal of turf behind the existing clay infield will be required. o Contractor shall remove & haul away turf and/or unusable clay material to an approved off-site location that will be determined by the County. o The awarded firm shall cut down the existing clay infield by 6-9" and utilizing the existing clay/sand material as a base, build up the newly removed turf to accommodate the expanded baselines. o No trash or debris including irrigation lines will be permitted to remain in the new infield footprint. o County shall provide an on-site dumpster for trash and construction related debris. o Top fill clay should be a 70/30 clay sand mix. o Contractor will supply County with all delivery receipts for materials and the County shall only be invoiced off of materials delivered to site. o Contractor shall grade, level and compact with a vibratory roller the newly established infield. All measurements should be confirmed by all parties before new clay is brought to the job site. o After the installation and compaction of the clay, the new infield footprint must have positive water drainage in all directions. o To minimize damage to existing turf, the County shall remove the required sections of fence to access the fields on the east side of the field, next to the dugout. o Awarded firm shall be responsible for all site restoration. This may include but not be limited to, raking, re-leveling grassy outfield, and sod replacement.
