Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Morrow, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 7,000-seat stadium; for the construction of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; educational facility; 85,000-square-foot educational facility; educational facility; retail development; retail development; and stadium.
The proposed project work consists of the following: The construction of a new Convocation Center and College and Career Academy. The 15-acre project site is the former Sears store. The project consists of the demolition of the existing retail store and construction of an approximately 7,000 seat arena and an 85,000 square foot College & Career Academy. All anticipated federal, state and local permits required for the Project have not been obtained. Required permits are anticipated on or before Thursday, April 20, 2023. All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have not been obtained. Required rights of way or easements are anticipated on or before Thursday, April 20, 2023. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by base bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
