Greensville County Courthouse Columns Replacement Greensville County Seeks a Qualified and Experienced Construction Firm to Provide Construction Services for the Replacement of the Front Entrance Columns and Bases at the Greensville County Courthouse Located at 315 South Main Street, Emporia, Virginia 23847. SCOPE OF SERVICES Greensville County is seeking a qualified and experienced construction firm licensed, bonded and insured in Virginia, to provide construction services related to the replacement of the front entrance load bearing columns and also replacement and waterproofing of the bases and footings at the Greensville County Courthouse. The construction firm selected for this project shall have demonstrated experience and knowledge of working on historic related projects while following guidelines as set forth by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. As this is an historic building, located in an historic district, the replacement of the load bearing columns and bases must mirror the current style, shape, and size of the existing columns and bases. The columns are required to be built of a composite material. The bases on which the columns rest, shall be of identical size, measurements and finish.
