Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Labor participation goals for this Project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women for each job category. The goals are applicable to both Contractors and Subcontractors on-site construction workforce. Refer to Document 00820 for details. The work will be located in the following municipalities of District 6: Chelsea, Newton, Brookline, Watertown, and Wellesley. The project includes removal of HMA and Portland cement concrete sidewalks and pedestrian curb ramps and installation of concrete sidewalks and pedestrian curb ramps, granite curb, thermoplastic crosswalks, pavement markings, utility adjustments, drainage adjustments, signing, and other incidental items included in the Contract Documents. The scope of work also includes the maintenance and protection of traffic during construction, maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian access to abutting properties, and maintenance of uninterrupted utility service. The work includes furnishing all required temporary traffic control measures and work zone security to stage the construction safely.
