Location: West Springfield Project Type: DCAMM MASSDOT - Roof Replacement at the MassDOT Maintenance Depot at 2 Ashley Avenue Filed Sub-bids: 100.6 Plumbing Work Filed Bid Date and time : 3/14/2023 2:00 PM 612294, 121259 PROJECT VALUE= $1,120,000.00 612294- 121259 - 100.6 100.6 PLUMBING WORK $97,000.00 The Scope of Work for this project, generally known as MassDOT Project No. 612294, West Springfield Roof Replacement, Maintenance Depot at 2 Ashley Avenue, Massachusetts, is outlined below and described more thoroughly in the Contract Documents and Specifications. The Work outlined below does not necessarily include all items for the complete installation and operation of the work as indicated in the Contract Documents. The project includes, but is not limited to: Replacing the existing built-up roof assembly with a building code and energy code compliant new PVC membrane roof assembly. The scope also includes replacing the existing roof hatch with a new thermally broken roof hatch, providing a new lightning protection system, providing new roof drains, providing new overflow drains (drain to daylight), providing new roof mounted mechanical equipment and roof exhausts/intakes, and providing two new eyewash units (one per set of vehicle bays). The project is to also include replacing all damaged and corroded structural metal roof deck and replacing it in kind with new structural roof deck as well as any required structural reinforcing of these areas as needed. 2. Demolition, and all other work indicated in the Drawings and Specifications 3. Plumbing, and all other work indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. 4. Mechanical, and all other work indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. 5. Electrical, and all other work indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. C. Design Intent: It is the intent of the Owner to utilize the metal building specified herein for vehicle repair and associated activities. The presence of brine, water, salts, and other commercial chemicals and processes, may create a corrosive environment. The design and construction of the roof system should take that fact into consideration. The design and construction of the metal building system shall utilize only non-corrosive, treated, coated, and/or stainless-steel materials, fasteners, flashings, and accessories wherever possible.
