Solid Waste Collection and Disposal for the Entire Village of Lake Grove for a three year contract with two one year renewal options as follows: Contract term: June 1, 2023-May 31, 2026 First Option 1 year term: June 1, 2026-May 31, 2027 Section Option 1 year term: June 1, 2027-May 31, 2028 This is a public works contract that is subject to prevailing wage and associated requirements Any bids received after that time and date will be deemed to be noncompliant and will not be opened. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "LAKE GROVE SOLID WASTE 2023" and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the "Village of Lake Grove" in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount for the first year of the Contract. All Bid Bonds except that of the successful bidder will be returned. The Village of Lake Grove reserves the right to waive any nonconformities that the Village feels would be in the best interest of the Village to waive, and to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informality in any or all bids which it deems favorable to the Village. No bid shall be withdrawn after being publicly opened and read. In the event that all bids are rejected and/or no bids are received, the Village Clerk is authorized to re-advertise for bids upon direction of the Board of Trustees. The Contract shall be awarded to the lower responsive qualified bidder whose bid and check or bond shall have been filed in conformity with this notice. Upon acceptance of the Bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter a Contract or comply with the other requirements prescribed, then the bid bond or check shall be deposited and the monies forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages and not a penalty, and the bidder shall be deemed in default and the Village shall collect the same or enforce the payment of the bond for the benefit of the Village.
